Neck pain is common and with more and more of us spending increasing amounts of time in front of screens either at work or at home our necks are under increasing amount of pressure. The hunched posture often adopted as we look at computer screens,  laptops, tablets and  smart phones puts a lot of pressure on the joints and muscles of the neck – which in turn leads to pain. This form of neck pain is often termed ‘mechanical neck pain’, chiropractors can help to treat this by improving the movement and function of the joints and muscles in the neck. This in combination with rehabilitative exercises and postural advice can help to get rid of your neck pain.

Avoiding spending a long time with your neck in one position, especially postures that involve looking down at phones, tablets and laptops can help reduce neck pain. Improving your desk posture can relieve some of the strain on your neck  For women one of the most important factors in neck pain can be wearing the right sized bra. Sleeping on your front can also irritate your neck so it is best to sleep on your back or your side.

What is involved in Chiropractic treatment neck pain?
